I am running my CraftBukkit server from a Lenovo laptop, and I am playing with a Mac. I port forwarded correctly (I know for sure), but I can't connect to my server.

    Things I've done:
    1. Port forwarded.
    2. Port forwarded with my IPv4 address.
    3. Gone to www.whatismyip.com

    Things I can't do:
    1. Pay for a custom DNS.

    Things I won't do:
    1. Call/email anyone.

    Things I've tried:
    1. Went into CMD and pinged my Mac.
    2. Used www.canyouseeme.org. (Error: Connection timed out)
    3. Had my friend (different IP) tried to connect (she can't.)

Also, I was able to connect before, but I shut it down because I wanted to install some plugins, but then it stopped working.
Any help would be really appreciated!! :)

Sopo201 Are you using a public IP? Have you disabled firewalls?

I've been using the ip on www.whatismyip.com, and as for firewalls, I've tried disabling them, but it doesn't let me click anything. (I'm the admin of the laptop)

If you are on the same network, use the local address. Many routers won't let you use the external address while inside (called a loopback connection). The external address is for people who are outside the network, and if you are inside the network use the internal one.

I have 2 internet connections in my home- I run the server on one, and play on the other

Then double check your port forwarding still matches the correct address. Is it possible your internal address changed?

Yep, it matches. I got it working an hour or two ago, but now my friend can't connect.

    bump.

More issues. Whenever I type /stop, nobody can connect.

/stop shuts down the server (so it is understandable that people can't connect)
Make sure you have a static ipv4.

Sorry, I used the wrong wording there.
I meant when I type /stop then reload the server, it doesn't work. And yeah, I port forwarded with the static ipv4

What ipv4 are you using? It should be out of the normal range used.
