Animal Nametags

    Hello,

    I'm looking for a way to put little nametags above animals (pigs, cows, wolves, creepers, etc) like those that hover over the players. I would have to specify the names. How can I do this? Is it even possible?

    It's not possible to name anything except humans.
    With some really fiddly hackery you could get signs to appear over their heads, but that's not a great solution.

    Really all I want is the nametags, so how would I go about the "really fiddly hackery"?

    Infact Try Pressing F3 And Looking At Animals Or Monsters :O They Have A NameTag Maybe That will Help You A Bit :/ Ehhhhh I Just Derped....

    Yes, I know that much, but that nametag is the id of the entity, and is an int rather than a String. Also, this id changes every time the server is restarted and, in any case, changing the id can cause problems.
