Is there a way you can make one for DevBukkit so I get notified or something when new files come out for plugins?

There is already a Subscriptions feature available in the BukkitDev site. Simply visit a project page, go to the top where the tabs are and click on Subscriptions. Enabled File Updates and click Update. You can change your settings and click Update again.

It can email you when a file is uploaded for that project as well as for Comments and Tickets.

I've done that before, I've enabled file updates before and it doesn't alert me...

Interesting. It should and always works for me. I don't know much about the process, but is it possible that you have your email improperly entered? Also, have you checked your spam folder? It could have been thrown in there by your email program.

I have the delivery method set to html, should I change it to plain text? Maybe that's why it wasn't working.

You can try it for sure lol. No harm in doing so.

    Yeah, I think I will.
I just wish BukkitAlert could be used for file updates on DevBukkit =p Would be cool to see when a plugin needs updated instantly instead of waiting for my email ;3 (Which I don't check often, maybe few times a day)

BukkitAlert is not working in FireFox for me, there are no alerts nor a place to configure the extension and consequently login D:

  21. This should be stickied to the bukkit homepage for when 1.6 vanilla is released. Would stop 9001 'When is bukkit ready?' threads from appearing

    Aside from that, great extension!

How would one attempt this in Java? :)

Not sure if possible... One would have to get a users session, use an XHR request to the site, parse the json, and alert the user if it were to be done... Why?

    Just thinking...

Would this work with another website with XenForo? Or just FBO?

I'd be using it in Java so I could say run a command on my IRC bot and it would tell me how many alerts I have :p
