Suggested Name: HoloPlayer What I want: A plugin where if the player with the permission right-clicks with their hand, it creates a hologram of that player, with the same skin, and held item, that will walk the direction the player was facing. It will attract hostile mobs from the player, and can get hurt by mobs, lava, etc., but it will not be hurt by drowning or fall damage. It will have a configurable amount of health, configurable cool-down, and will disappear after a configurable amount of time, which can be specified in a config file. The hologram must also be able to jump over blocks too, just like a normal player. I'm not sure how difficult this could be, but it would be cool! Ideas for commands: None needed, I'd think. Ideas for permissions: HoloPlayer.Use When I'd like it by: I don't know how long this plugin would take to make, so if you know how long it'd take, let me know on this thread! Thanks for taking the time to read this! After some searching on the Get Plugins section, I found no other plugin that does this. If anyone else can prove me wrong, kudos to you. It's not possible because you don't know how to code plugins.... Completely possible if you spawn an NPC.
Ohh i has Think you mean the Hologram of Cortana on the Hand.... now i know what you mean. Yes it's possible but i cand codeing so ask another one ;D
GoldSchmiedi No, sorry if this is my fault for not making my idea clear . I mean like the hologram armor ability. The one seen in Halo Reach and Halo 4. Those are just inspirations though, it doesn't need to be exactly like those. I think this plugin could be done with Zombie-Pigmen with a skin or packet or whatever laid over them, and just set it to move forward without attacking anything. I've seen the Zombie-Pigman with player skin thing done with the S86 Powers plugin, so I'm sure this plugin could be done that way. You'd have to modify craftbukkit code to attract the mobs I believe. Haven't used Bukkit API in a long time so feel free to correct me.
Okay, I suppose that feature can be optional to make. That was an afterthought I had once I wrote down that post.
I've never played Halo 4, but if you are talking about a small hologram which would appear on the player's hand, this wouldn't be possible. It would be possible, however, to spawn a mob / npc in front of the player and use that as a hologram.
I think this might be possible with Citizens, a Denizen script for the doppelganger, and an alias command to spawn and despawn the NPC. http://wiki.citizensnpcs.com/
Hmmm... There's this new feature in 1.5 in teams that you can make invisible players be seen as transparent people, don't know how to do it with code though.
From playing Halo I think he means that the 'hologram' should look exactly like the original Player. If it was partially invisible then everyone would realize it was a hologram and attack the real Player instead.
*Bump* *Bump*, once again... EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
So are you trying to say a hologram to confuse the other players on who is the real player? Or a Hologram where it is somewhat like a semi-invisible person talking to you?
MinecraftrGi A hologram to confuse players. Just like the armor ability in Halo. *Yet again, BUMP* EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
Williscool98 I am guessing noone wants to bother making this bc it would be a lot of work and is already possible with Citizens.
Holograms are possible. I found one hologram plugin and he is currently trying to make it possible to add pictures in the hologram. Like you see in the video, he is standing on a pressure plate and there will form a hologram. I think this is what you mean. http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/holographic-displays/
BenFiger While that IS super cool, this request was just spawning a citizen npc that walks forward, and attracting hostile mobs away from you. I actually forgot about this thread. Didn't think anyone would put another post.
