that means you didn't specify a filename for craftbukkit. Open the server startup parameters (next to the start button on the server) and make sure you entered a name for the craftbukkit jar file. By default, "craftbukkit.jar"

Hey uh, how do I download this? I know it sounds stupid but, I clicked the download "button" and it just brought up the image in another tab, it didn't download anything so uh...
EDIT: How do I get the program up? I double click it and hit run, and nothing pops up.. I even watched my task manager and there was nothing about it coming up. Help?

 

the download button in the slideshow at the top is an unintentional troll that I didn't remove you have to scroll down to the bottom of the page, or hit the download tab at the top.
I'm not sure about the second issue, do you mean the program won't start up?

 

EDIT: I stopped the process, reopened the program and an error popped up.
I'm checking my task manager now, the program is there in the list after I doubleclicked it, but I see no windows or anything from the actual program. I would put this in a spoiler, but I can't figure out how.

that's a bukkit issue, i'm actually not sure what it is, but it might be a corrupt craftbukkit.jar

 

Looks like its caused by not being able to read/write to the location the jar file is in.

If that is the case, then try running the program as an administrator (right click, run as administrator), as your computer's security settings may restrict the program from reading/writing to that specific drive. Alternatively, if you're not an admin (or don't know an admin password), try moving the server to another folder, maybe in your "My Documents" folder, and see if it works then.

 

Well it worked so good then bam it don't work. I am the admin of the comp I don't know if my CPU is going crazy of something. This might of been the cause we had like a 100000 TNT explosion my comp gave me a blue screen I don't know if that messed up a file or something

 

hahaha i think that might've done it. Open up the world in MCEdit (another program) and delete all the tnt entities, then try loading the server up again

Hey I'm really no computer whiz so I have no clue what I'm doing.. I downloaded the Iridium server manager and the microsoft things.. I opened the server manager and I don't really know what to do now.. I just want a server for me and a couple friends. Do you have a whole tutorial on how to set up the server? Also I don't know anything about port forwarding or whatever that is..

This seems like a really great thing, and I would love to have a bukkit server, but... it appears that my .NET Framework thing refuses to cooperate. It's all installed correctly and updated, but whenever I try opening Iridium, .NET gives me some error message after the loading screen, and it remains as just some dormant thing in the background till I close it... I'm awful with the technical side of things, so I would appreciate some help... :C

(Sorry... I had the same issue as someone before me, but didn't see them... See how bad I am at this? DX )

Got server running in no time, but completely unusable, when I log on the world doesn't render, the blocks are there but invisible. I can see NPC mobs, faraway underground constructs etc, but no ground or anything, a few close block have black line outlines flicking on and off.. but that's it.. world doesn't update as I move through it.

 

Add more RAM to the server
