What's your Craftbukkit version? It's very possible that the version of world edit you're using is colliding with the Craftbukkit you use.

Use the latest development WorldEdit jar: http://build.sk89q.com/job/WorldEdit/

As fatmanjumprope said, you are probably running a recent craftbukkit version with an old / incompatible worldedit jar.

Please provide a link to your full startup log so we can verify your versions. In my experience, "Latest version" tends to mean "latest version that I was able to find" or "latest version, aside from the version that I didn't know was released". The startup log isn't susceptible to those types of unavoidable human fallacies. ;)

You're running a post-R0.2 development build of CraftBukkit, which causes many plugins to break. You'll either need to downgrade CraftBukkit to the latest Beta build or upgrade your plugins to their latest development versions, if available and if they've been made to work with the recent builds. See this for more information.

It's your server, you do what you want. Personally though, I like to manage that sort of thing on my own, manually. I find there's less of a chance of something breaking, and more of a chance that I'll know how to fix it when it does break, if I do it myself.
