    Multiverse 2 - World Creation/Management/Teleportation & More​

    Description
    Multiverse 2 is a ground up rewrite of the popular Multiverse plugin for CraftBukkit. There are many new features, the biggest one being the much better usability and cleaner code! MV2 has been in the works for over 2 months and given the size of it, the developers are confident that you'll find a small bug or two. Please come into our IRC channel and discuss politely with us and we'll get it resolved quick-fastly!

    People can't log into my 1060 Bukkit Server!:
    Are you using spout? If so, you need to upgrade it to a dev version or disable it until those guys release a 1060 compatible version.

    How do I know if I'm running CB XXXX or higher?:
    Type /version. The number here is your CB version:
    This server is running Craftbukkit version git-Bukkit-0.0.0-980-g4ed23b1-b1060jnks (MC: 1.7.3)
    Please check that this version is the same as one of those in the title of the post.

    SamKio has offered to make a video tutorial for the plugin, I've 'accepted' in the sense that I've asked him to wait for the next version to be out because it changes how MV works etc. I'm sorry if it's confusing to setup atm, thats one of the problems I'm trying to alleviate amongst other things.


    To others, this was just a quick reply will try get your issues out the way sometime tonight.

    When the destination is a portal I'm teleported beside the portal, not in the middle of it. How can I set the portal to be teleported in the middle of it ?

    You can't (at least in the current version), because it would create an infinite loop.

    I'm having a permissions issue currently. I, as Admin and OP, can create worlds, portals ,etc and go to them. However, it seems that only if I add a user to the Admin group (with permissions plugin) can they come to the world. If they are placed in any other group I've created (which is where they would normally be) it tells them "You do not have permission to enter World2." and kicks them back to World1. I also can't seem to get portals to work at all either so I'm not sure what the problem is. Either way, seems strange because I can use all the commands and travel to the worlds but can't seem to get anyone else there without adding them under the Admin group I've created. Is there something I need to be doing with the new whitelisting stuff you've added (can't find much information on how to actually set it up so)?

    Anyways, thanks for the help!

    I've updated to the latest permissions and MV version as well but still no luck.

    what I do is set a one block destination portal right in front of the portal back that way it appears as if you teleport right in front of it.

    Odd, it works that way for me... maybe MultiVerse thinks there isn't enough room in front of the portal for some reason?

    Hi, hate to just request features out of the blue, but is there (or will there) be some way of separating player inventories between worlds? I'd quite like a world for survival and a world for creative, but that only works if I can stop people giving themselves all the materials they want in creative worlds (where the /i command is allowed for everyone) and taking them to the survival world.

    There is a plugin for it... It is called MultiInv. It makes world specific inventories. A search probably could have returned something...

    All works fine in the default world, but when i teleport to another world i've suddenly lost my prefix and i dont have permissions. If i remove a block i get an error that it could not pass event Block_Break to permissions, and the error could not pass event Block_place to permissions if i place a block. The only way to get out of the world is to use /warp (essentials), cause its a command that, without permissions, everybody can use.
    I have set up the second world file, named world2.yml (thats the name of my second world), correctly.

    Using alot of plugins that dont matter, MultiVerse 1.5, Permissions 2.5.4 by Theyeti and iChat 2.11.

    I am getting a problem, When I die in a world I created I get kicked by the server on respawn and then appear back in the original world spawn point. Any help?

    So i have a question about this plugin...because ive used either this plugin or another one in the past.

    Does this actually connect the player to another server? I know the previous mod i used long ago did this, you basically authorized each side to allow a person to basically teleport between servers when they went through a portal...

    I ask this because im using MineOS and want to host two worlds, with entirely different plugins. My main will be the creative/free build with Minecart Mania and abunch of otther 'fun' mods while the new world would be a RP server with Towny/iConomy and some other more hardcore mods ...

    And i'd use something like MultiInv or something else to keep inventories seperate per world.

    We've made two SPlike nether portals in our world. The original one works fine, created a portal in the nether, and that portal takes us back. It was built in the ruins of a small old house. A new portal we just made, near the surface of a new area, goes to the nether fine, but when you walk through the nether's portal to go back to the main world, nothing happens. No errors, no nothing. I checked the logs, nada. We tried destroying and re-lighting the portals at both ends, etc.
    I'm an op and it doesn't work for me either, so I'm assuming its not a permissions issue.

    Possibly related to how multiverse finds teleport points?

    /mvtp worked to get the stuck people back to the main world.

    This is almost certainly a problem in Permissions; it's right there in the error message.


    a) I'm pretty sure it doesn't connect you to another server.
    b) If two servers are involved, wouldn't MultiInv be redundant since each server would have a separate data file for the player?

    A) damn...
    B) With the old bukkit mod that did Multi-Server portals before they existed you could have it setup to take your equipment with you...how it worked i dont know. But you basically ran command X on server 1, which would pop up a message on server 2 running the same mod, they would then add you and you confirm eachothers requests and your worlds were linked by portals you placed with proper signage...it worked ok but it wasnt great...

    I really just want a way to host two seperate worlds with seperate plugins and portal in between them...i dont know if that ability exists anymore....i think the other mod died off when multi world came around but thats an entirely different beast than what im wanting to do.

    I have gotten multiverse commands working perfectly in my main map, but i created a second map for the nether and linked a portal to it, it sent me over but once i'm in my nether map none of the multiverse commands work. I keep getting "an internal error occured while attempting to perform this command"

    Well, I am sure that when using Permissions you have a correspondingly named worldname.yml in your Permissions folder, or when using GM to have that worlds folders with the settings...or? ;)

    For some reason MultiVerse isn't recognising that I have permissions installed. My server is with Multiplay and i have permissions installed. Has anyone else had this problem?

    But when you have two servers, that's actually more work than not transferring the inventory; whereas with Multiverse, it's more work to not transfer the inventory because it's all on the same server.

    Depending on which plugins you want, it might be possible to do this with Multiverse. I assume you have a list of plugins that you want, some of which should be active in both worlds. Set those ones aside, and just look at the ones that you want active only in one world. Find them on the forum or their website or whatever and check if they have multi-world support, specifically a way to let them only be active on one world. If all of your plugins have such support, then Multiverse can do what you want with a bit of editing of your plugins' config files. If not. post to request it!
