I was on plugins.bukkit.org trying to find LazyRoad, when I remember that it's on BukkitDev, so I go on dev.bukkit.org (or at least attempt to), and this is what I see.

I don't remember seeing anything on BukkitDev about this update... can you please at least tell us when an update is coming so that we can download the plugins we need quickly off BukkitDev? Thanks.

Please note, there was a scheduled maintenance that began 5 minutes ago and has now been completed. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Sorry everyone, I was told shortly before, but did not have a chance to relay this information onto the forums.

Why don't the Curse Staff tell us themselves?

It's not always known. Stuff happens sometimes, the site wasn't down for long at all, so it's not a big deal.

It's kind of unreasonable for us to say "Hey Curse! Thanks for hosting our forums, BukkitDev, and a bunch of other stuff, giving us all these services for free, and listening to our suggestions and concerns, but it'd be really nice if whenever you see an emergency, instead of fixing it really fast so that the sites don't have to be down for even longer, just let us know and do it later, things may be worse by then but at least people will know!"

I hate to be sarcastic but I think this is really a non-issue. If we do hear about something in the future, we'll be sure to make everyone aware of it ASAP.

Also why in GOD'S NAME comic sans? Why. Why. Why. Why god why.

Referring to the fact that seeing as Bukkit is an open-source project, there isn't money available to be spent to pay the amazing people who build and maintain this stuff for us, all we can give them is our thanks for reaching out to us.

Kainzo didn't mean money I think
But nothing is free in our world

Free in the sense that Curse gets to have their name on it. Advertising, if anything is worth more than what they could pay. An active community of thousands that they can (and do) periodically update us with their stuff.

I liked the pre-curse days when they were a mediocre raiding guild in WoW and didn't have annoying broadcasters on youtube that know zelch about the games they're talking about.

    Oh to be young again!
