More stats for downloads

It would be nice if you could see a REALTIME how many people downloaded your plugins, and where they are from. I am thinking like the BIT.LY site. This would be really nice. Or even just make it so the current stat counter is realtime...

 

Why is that really needed? I mean are you really going to sit there and refresh the page for hours to see how many people are downloading it?

This is one of the points we brought up with Curse. This is not a feature that will be quick to arrive, as it depends on a fairly major rewrite of their infrastructure.

The ideas around about stats gathering and what Curse was planning were, quite frankly, awesome. However, this feature is delayed due to the rewrite of their infrastructure and are prone to change.

I am hesitant to say too much, because the details could completely change. As our meetings with Curse progress, we will know about timelines and can keep our community informed about the progress being made.
